Probably. So then they can ad advertisements to it whenever they feel like, after people have already given them money.

Although hopefully Eidos won't sink as low as Valve.

Thortok2000, aren't there other travesties you could go off and be outraged about?

Sure, but the travesties I'm going to post about HERE are the following:

          -CS 1.6 getting ads added

-CS:S having bugs out the wazzoo, and long-standing ones at that, presumably easy to fix

-Valve ignoring all customer feedback about anything, like they're completely deaf or something, off living in some fantasy world where customers' opinions are not important and don't matter

-Valve employees conducting interviews (although I'm not sure that even deserves a plural) with nearly half the questions unanswered and most of the rest basically unanswered satisfactorily

-CS:S having practically no updates except for source-engine-related ones

-CS:S having no news or updates of what the "CS:S team" responsible for CS:S updates is working on, especially concerning the bug fixes mentioned earlier

-Valve forcing me to pay for two games I don't want in order to get one game I do, in spite of episodic content supposedly being 'cheaper for the consumer'.

-'Episodic content' feeling like it takes as long to make as normal content, with gameplay hours being drastically fewer. (Objectively I know it's not taking as long, but looking at gameplay trailers etc., I'm strongly inclined to believe that they're holding back the PC release to match the console release, and also find it hard to believe it's that far from done)

-Counterstrike, both 1.6 and Source, effectively dying due to most of all of the above. I don't play 1.6 anymore, I'm slightly interested in CZ and might try it out, and Source is too hard to find a good server because of how close to dead it is (people mod the game like crazy because they don't want to play the normal version).

Take your pick. Valve's karma is rock-bottom with me right now. Or very close to it.

          ~

          As for non-Valve stuff:

-The war in Iraq. But wait, that has nothing to do with CS or Valve, so I'll be outraged about that elsewhere. Not to mention other travesties all over the place. The world is a very travesty-filled place, you know. Which is a travesty in itself if you think about it.
