Steam News - February 16th - Jade Empire

This week's weekly news update for Steam is not for the weak. No sir! This week's update focuses on the pre-load for Jade Empire and some early concept art for the new "General Lee" that will be making an appearance in Episode 2. You'll see what I mean.

Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is being playtested here at Valve regularly now, and one of the pieces of the game that's getting strong reactions from our testers is driving the game's new vehicle. This thing's got some major horsepower. Here's a peek at some of the early vehicle concept work:

As a side note, having both your RAM and your power supply (now on my fourth) go bad on you at the same time, is not a pleasant experience. That's the CS-Nation "Tip o' the Day."

They can hype me up for Episode 2 all they want, I still won't enjoy being required to wait to play it, or to have to pay for two games I don't want. Or enjoy the box art.



Hopefully I'll at least enjoy the game itself, though. =/

I find it funny that they release all these news updates to Steam users, yet don't have the balls to tell them that they're gonna be bombarded with ads in 1.6 soon.

There's been other outlets for that sort of thing. Perhaps once the final release of the ads is closer, they'll say something.

Let's hope this has a better turning circle than the fallacy that was the HL2 buggy..... :)

OMG!!! That new vehicle looks soo fucking AWESOME AND KICKARSE!!! It looks soo powerful with that big arse engine!!! Can't wait to jump in and tear into some zombines, hunters, and combines with that beast and see all the entrails and guts spill out!!!
