7) Smoke grenades. (Still take a ludicrously long time to deploy).
8) Flashbangs (Are still far too overpowered to the point where they are now a gamebreaking device, even if you spin 180).
9) Grenades (Are far too powerful and also are becoming a gamebreaking device).
These are not gameplay differences, they are BUGS.
You my friend don't know what a bug is then.
A bug is a unexpected defect. Those are not unexpected they are performing as intended. Would you rather grenades let out smoke also, they are not overpowered. I think the flashbangs should be limited to 1 but those are just opinions and balancing.
In pubs, smokes are mostly good for some quick cover. Like in dust2 when there's an AWPer, a quick smoke will make the path a bit safer for you to cross. Also smoking the site when you're planting/defusing is useful.
Then you can get into the (originally) unintended smoke uses... such as lobbing one around a corner and rushing, so that they'll turn from the "flashbang" right as you barrel around the corner.
So yeah, there's nothing wrong with Source's smokes. Just learn their use.
The only big smoke issue is spotting enemies on the radar through it. But that's not a smoke bug, it's a radar bug.
Although, I'm pretty sure there are times when you can see an enemy through the smoke, depending on which side you're viewing it from.
Also, in nuke when there is a smoke active in front of garage, you can see the bottom of the plume while underground. Noticed it more during several scrims over the past week.
