The other problem you get in such debates / discussions is those who support your view in such an obnoxious way that they color other people's opinions against your viewpoint. Enough people do that, and pretty soon everyone supporting the viewpoint gets lumped together as being the same moronic crowd, and the merits of the actual subject being debated are forgotten.

Kind of sad, but that's how it often goes.

One point you made that I will somewhat disagree with though, Hutz. You point out that it hasn't been proven that there isn't a bug. This is true, but I (like most others here) live in America. Part of being an American is having the viewpoint of "innocent until proven guilty" which we tend to paint very broadly on other subjects as well. If something gives the general appearance of functioning about like it should, then we're likely to accept that it's probably fine until someone can prove otherwise.

Scientific theories are much the same. Some of them quite frankly can't be proven as such, but they seem to work by observation, and until someone can come along and disprove them, we're likely to accept them as being true.

Aside from that, though, you have a fair argument... unfortunately until that proof is supplied, however... you're going to have a tough time convincing others that your theory is fact.

I don't know about netcode, but I know servers with low tick rates, my bullets never register on moving targets, at, like, all.
