Well, I installed Steam earlier today to start playing CS again (a few friends were forcing me too). And it doesn't work. Now I know why I left CS with a bad taste of Steam in my mouth.

uh...valve's having a power outage in their main (only) server area. It has nothing to do with steam itself.

Yeah, but every time I try to do something with Steam, something goes wrong. Already discussed here was that they could have had backup servers or something. I know it's not really Steam that's screwing up, but still.

Dude, I can't even get past that point. It looks for updates (since I just installed it), and then goes to Failed To Connect To Network or something and all I can do is cancel. Perfect.

I know eh. I wanted to play CS too. I had such an urge, and now I just feel bored. Nothing else to do.
