A small update just came out that fixes a minor issue that was present with the Friend's network.

I'm surprised they are fixing something, I thought they were going microsoft-style ; letting bug unfixed, security problem unpatched, adding flawed features that screw the game_(DWP), just so that people would be willing to buy TF2 when next summer comes.

At least their Soviet-style transparency and communication is not surprising me the least.



EDIT : BTW this localized French banner ad for drivercleaner.com is a shame, it opens a double popup every time I load a page on this site. Disregard this if it's not a CS-nation ad, but merely my Firefo install being compromised by an adware, unlikely as it may be.

I'm going to disable the specific ad rotation company that I think has been responsible for the infrequent popups some users report. We certainly don't see profit from those popups, and would never (intentionally) subject our users to popups. Sorry for the trouble.

Thank you very much for adressing this problem. I never thought it was intentional, on the contrary I thought it was a kind of hack. From your message it turns out it may be a shady ad company.

I also got that kind of popup on Xbitlabs last week (ad for Errorsafe there), maybe you can get in touch with their webadmin to see what ad rotation company you have in common, it could help you pinpoint it or confirm the cullprit.
