    The crouch height bug wasn't really announced before its fix was released, IIRC.

        Yeah. While in the end, there is no real difference between a bug fix, and a bug fix that they announced was coming.... the announcements do help with the whole 'appeasing the masses' thing.



        Although this wasn't really a 'release from valve' and was more of an e-mail correspondence that got 'leaked' to us, it's still news, which is more than we usually get (on subjects that interest us).

            Totally false. It was known for months and months, and there was even a website devoted to the long list of unaddressed CS:S bugs. The crouch-height bug was one of the more prominent ones on the site.



            It's probably still around, I just don't know the address.
