Project Gamer will operate alongside the pre-existing league events hosted by CEVO, rather than replace them. The popular pay-to-play leagues for Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-Strike: Source, and Call of Duty 2, will continue on with the opening of registration for their next seasons in mid-December. Several major announcements are coming in the near future. You can go on to read the full press release right over yonder!
Project Gamer will greatly expand the reach of the CEVO brand and experience to thousands of more eSports players. In typical CEVO fashion, Project Gamer is a true innovation.
CEVO will officially launch Project Gamer in January 2007, starting with a Counter-Strike 1.6 league. Further details about Project Gamer will be announced in the coming weeks.
