    Upgrade Your Browser!

If you are currently using Internet Explorer 6.0, you will likely want to "upgrade" your browser to Firefox 1.5. Firefox is a free browser that supports tabbed browsing and features subjectively better security than Internet Explorer. Though if you happen to be a big Internet Explorer fan, you should know that the final version of Internet Explorer 7 is now available for download. Internet Explorer 7 features a revamped UI as well as tabbed browsing.

Both Firefox and Internet Explorer 7, and other alternatives such as Opera and Safari, have much better web standards support than Internet Explorer 6. Nearly all rendering bugs for this website, for example, go away when upgrading to Firefox or Internet Explorer 7. CS-Nation uses relatively modern web design techniques, and it is well-known among web designers the immense pain that IE 6 causes when working with CSS-based designs. So upgrade today!

Also, whoever is an IE "fan", should really stop using computers.

    Or die.

so does IE 7 have the low memory usage like IE 6? Or is it at least a lot better than Opera and Firefoxes?

IE7 is out today, and released as a critical windows update on the next Patch Tuesday, probably November 7th. Firefox 1.5 is out today, and Firefox 2 should probably be released next Tuesday. Also, I think Gpig asked a nonsensical question on purpose.

P.S. That "relatively modern" web design was by me! See my name at the bottom of every page? Yay! (It is consistantly the most asked about item on my resume.)

Unrelated to reading this, I downloaded the RC3 of Fx 2. It seems excellent to me.

I wonder if there are any of those go-against-the-tide IE superfans on this website. (Ironically they aren't going against the tide, but anyway) Every now and then you see people like that. It just doesn't make good sense to me.

I saw a Firefox ad that said "Get Firefox, or else you have a vagina" and the next week everyone was using Firefox.

You'll thank me for using IE when we need to procreate. I'm open to everyone.

Firefox broke on me a week ago and it's impossible to fix, but I'm still using it over IE...

Actually, this news isn't related to Counter-Strike at all.

In IE7 the login box appears on the right side of the site, half of it is out of the screen (in 1024*768).

Yeah, that's true If someone wants to fix that and send me the CSS I need to use, I'll send them like $5 via PayPal!

well, having IE7 installed breaks Day Of Defeat anyway. Not exactly Counter-Strike, but related at least. Valve is aware of the issue. And from the reply I got they couldn't give a rat's ass, but that was the other day. Seeing as how IE7 final has now been released perhaps they will fix the problem with DoD now.

Using Internet Explorer is like having sex with a dirty hooker without using a condom. It might feel great at the time, but you just don't know what sorta stuff you will catch.

So, on that note, Firefox is a giant condom
