I guarentee the 360 has better specs than your computer.



It has 512mb GDDR3 (500mhz GFX proc. not that amazing but still), and a tri-core 3.2 ghz processor.

Specs? Maybe. But what's the point of saying 3.2 Ghz when my E6700 totally wipes the floor with it on graphical applications.

That and considering i have A PAIR OF 7900's, its kind of hard to believe the Xbox can out perform it right now. (Yes i know ill have to switch cards for DX10 :*[ ....)



Probably the reason that a top of the line X360 costs the same as a single one of my video cards.

the tri-core in the x360 is extremely impractical, and they are only using one of the three cores.



and console games will NEVER look as good as PC games, and they are nowhere near as customizable either (low, med, high quality, HDR on/off, anti-aliasing, anistropic filtering, soft shadows, etc).

x360 and other consoles can suck my duts.

Why the hell would you want to set lower settings on a console? Lmao.. Yeah I want to put on worse graphic settings, even though the console is made to handle the game at its highest possible graphical features. Why? BECAUSE CUSTOMIZATION LOL. You dont have different specs between seperate 360's, they are all the same. That is the POINT. So you do not have to upgrade. I like PC's better (control), but they both have advantages. They only use one core.. because thats all they have needed so far to run the games. They havent even began to use its full potential. And if I recall, no tri-core's for PC's are out. Thats the only reason you call it impractical, because you do not understand them. (Call of duty 2 uses 2 btw, one entirely for AI.) I take it you havent seen Gears of War in high-def. The only game ive seen on PC that looks that much better than anything 360 has, is crysis. Which you need an insane computer to run it like you see in the screenshots. A pc which you probably do not have.

Sure your PC is more powerfull then a Xbox 360 (or PS3).. But it also costs a lot more, and you're part of only the top 1% orso of all PC gamers to have such a super high-end system.. By far most PC gamers (still) have systems that are less powerfull then a Xbox 360 (or PS3)..



That's the whole point of a (next-gen) gameconsole, to get a relative cheap high-end gaming system that will last at least 4 years before it's obsolete and replaced again..



For me personally a gameconsole complements my (high-end) PC for my gaming needs.. I play FPS & RTS games on my PC, and I play racing-, sport-, and other typical consolegames on my Xbox 360.. So they don't really compete for me..

Yeah, it's time Source started to support multi-threading.. The engine can really benefit from it I think with the heavy physics useage etc.. Should give a nice boost in performance using multiple cores..

They already said they will release a multi-core patch for the PC before or at the time of release for Episode 2. So either way, Episode 2 and beyond will have this support.

Me too, I have 2 consoles myself (going to be 3 when the PS3 comes out). I'm not saying consoles are bad in general, just the Xbox360. In addition, I'm also stating the opinion that games using PERSONAL COMPUTER oriented graphics engines are ported over to consoles, it won't be pretty visual wise. I'm pretty sure it won't be too fun to aim gordon with that big a$$ controller.
