    Pizza Hut and The CPL

Pizza Hut and The CPL have teamed up to bring gamers a hot slice of pizza one frag at a time. Well alright, perhaps it's not going to be delivered one frag at a time, but you get the idea.
“This new online initiative with Pizza Hut is a first for gaming. Now both casual and hardcore professional gamers alike can order their pizzas from a website that will also offer them special deals on a regular basis, said Angel Munoz, President of CPL. “We are thrilled that Pizza Hut agrees that online videogaming is a dynamic and growing market.
You can find more information at the CPL news release page.

So basically, fat gamer nerds now have an even easier way of becoming fat gamer nerds, since instead of walking five feet to pick up the phone and order, they can just alt+tab out and order. Genius.

Anyway, they still have to stop their game, get up and go answer the door to collect it. And Pizza Hut pizza is rank too, and they charge a ton considering the small amount you get. Makes more sense to just get a sandwich or something sorted out before you start playing and have it sat next to you. Or hell, just eat a proper meal three times a day at normal times, you shouldn't need to order in food during a gaming session that's rarely going to last more than a couple of hours anyway.

Oh well. S'pose rizzuh alone will make it worth their time.

My thoughts exactly. Who eats from fast food/pizza places anyways? My friends who work there tell me never to eat at any fast food places because the people cooking to food do some really nasty things to the food for fun. For example,

not that my friends have ever done that, ( i hope not), imagine what else is in the fast food some people buy.

No one at CPL wants gamers to get fat, but denying that pizza is a major portion of the American diet is just self-delusion. The statistics indicate that 93% of Americans eat at least one pizza per month and that 66.6% of Americans order pizza for a casual evening with friends. Pizza Hut is the world's largest pizza restaurant company with almost 6,600 restaurants in the United States alone, so if the CPL is offering lower prices for gamers, why make it sound like gamers are people that are out of control and will automatically over-consume and gain weight because of this one alternative?

This initiative is quite important and its success may usher a new era of interest from non-endemic companies. If you are part of that 7% of Americans that do not eat pizza then this offer is definitely not for you, but if you occasionally eat pizza and are looking for better prices, check the offers at http://www.thecpl.com/pizzahut/ as they are lower than any offers we could find in searching all of the online Pizza Hut coupons.

We are currently in conversations with another large food company that will diversify our online discount food offering for gamers, but let us not dismiss this huge first step of a large corporation into the gaming community that has been created around e-sports.

Gamers are finally getting the recognition we deserve :P We CS players kick Terrorist butt so you don't have to, and them Warcraft players defeat those Orcs on a daily basis so, once again, you don't have to :P

Unfortunately, it appears as though my city doesn't offer this..Figures..My city never has the good stuff...

It sounds like a great deal to me. (even though I don't live in the U.S. :[ )

We get Dominos pizza at lans *yuck*.

There are a lot of times where you cannot always eat because you have a busy match or practice schedule, so in a way you are also being looked out for, you should make sure you eat / drink enough and don't die or suffer illness like those uber uber uber uber hardcore gamers, but remember, it is your responsibility to keep fit and healthy, and just because you CAN order 7 pizzas a week, it doesn't mean you have to.

If you eat it as part of a controlled eating plan, or even just every once in a while as a treat, i'm sure that you will be getting a good deal.

On a side note, i'm positive that players who have a good diet and eat 'mind food' play much better. So make sure you get anchovis on that pizza :P

8 bucks for a large pepperoni pizza is pretty good. Not to mention I like their pizzas (thank god it wasn't dominos). I might use these on college game day when watching my team play. I hope the next sponsor is subway or something healthier though, because cheap subway would be awesome.

I don't like Pizza Hut or Domino's. You can't get the Chicago style deep dish just anywhere.

"As for the officers, they became sick and were taken to the hospital. Isleta Police found nothing funny about the incident."

well, obviously they cannot get sick from eatting pot, so it must of been the burger fat they were eatting, i believe that they got what was best for them. and for the people that put the pot in the burgers.. well that was a waste.

I'm not against pizza in itself, it's just that of all the things... argh. I'm sure some sort of healthy, filling fresh sandwich delivery service would be more beneficial <_<

I'm sure you can always order a veggie pizza...

Plus, there aren't too many "well known" fresh sandwich delivery service businesses last I knew.
