    Activision and Valve Partner Up

According to Shacknews, it seems as though game publisher, Activision, has teamed up with Valve to distribute a number of games over Steam.
Valve has just announced that major publisher Activision is the latest game industry company to pledge support for Valve's successful Steam digital delivery service. Recently, publisher Majesco made several of its games, including Double Fine's Psychonauts, available via Steam, and various independent developers have used Steam as a primary distribution channel for their games. Today's deal will see four Activision games on the service: Infinity Ward's Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2, Grey Matter's Call of Duty United Offensive, and Neversoft's Gun.
I knew Steam was growing, but I didn't think there'd be any major publishers signing up for deals like this just yet. I have wanted to give Call of Duty 2 a try, but only if the price is right.

Update: You can read the full press release right here.

So how is this going to work for the guys that purchased CoD already? I know this happened with other games already but I never cared about that because I never owned them.

Perhaps enter your CD key just like we did for the older pre-steam Valve games we purchased?

omg steam is selling out to the maaaaaaaaannnnnnnn

serously though, this is pretty cool, maybe some more big time publishers will get thier games on steam when they are new, and then take advantage of that to get us updates faster.

I wouldn't really say it's the best WWII game. I mean, I wonder how ducking can restore life.
