High Quality World Models for CSS

Tired of the CS: Source world models being extremely dull and lacking in detail? I mean, this is the future of Counter-Strike, right? So why then are all of the world models for weapons not super high-poly, ultra hi-res, and blinged out? Yeah, I went there with the blinged out! Community member, modderfreak, took some initiative and produced his own high quality world models reskin pack.

You can find a direct link to the download and many, many more screenshots right here. The pack includes new world models for every weapon, and features 2048x2048 textures. A special thanks to the CS-Nation community member, going by the name of rizzuh, for brining this to our attention.

It would probably make more sense to make high quality view models, rather than world model..Since you hardly see the world models..You know..close up..

Detail isn't needed when you don't see something so close up, and it takes up extra video memory :-\

      Very nice pack.

I have always hated how certain guns look when other players are holding them, espeically the Deagle. (it's silver in my hand but grey on the ground?)

This pack takes care of that, and all other guns nicely.

do the models have the removable mags, and does the supressor come off in the w_ models like they do for the default models?

I am not sure about the removable mags, but the supressor does come off the same way it does for the default models.

There was a similar packup of hi res w and p models made for 1.6, glad to see a CSS version B)

This really makes a big difference in the game; the low res gun textures on other players really detracted from the generally high quality of the rest of the graphics.

Also for those worried about a performance hit on low to mid ranges systems - I run a 7900GT and there was no noticeable difference in FPS. So don't worry about gimping your frames by installing this pack!

              Well of course you didn't notice a difference, you're running a 7900GT..

I run a 9800Pro and feel no impact. These really make a huge improvement graphics wise.

why do you have to make a commitment if you don't like the new ones delete them and the game will go back to default.

I have a 6600GT and its the same framerate, but there's alot of aliasing on the guns themselves from a distance.
