    Trailer Release: Time

Are you a fan of machinima that has thrills, chills, and edge of your seat excitement? If so, and you have some time to kill, you had best make the most of it and watch the trailer for the upcoming machinima entitled Time.
"You wake up in a cold sweat. You look around to find yourself in a bare, somber room with only a matress and a bottle of pills to wish you good morning. This wouldn't be too unsual except...you don't remember the last 7 months of your life."

Time is the new machinima brought to you by the creator of Requiem, Anthony Perfetto. It is the tale of an ex-military with severe amnesia and no recollection of the last 7 months of his life. It is a story of how one man finds a way to take back his life and another tries to control it.

Time is an action/adventure/thriller with massively constructed custom maps and beautifully designed custom skins. Each distinct model will allow you to get inside the movie and become attached to each character as hardships ensue.
There will be a number of notables who have a hand in this video, including Daniel Frome as the executive producer as well as creating the soundtrack, and Style-Productions who have produced Rixhax and Catch the Future.

You can find a listing of download locations for the trailer, following this very sentence:

I read the title and thought it was the time until the new Episode 2 trailer was going to be released on steam :-|

I really wish they would switch to the source engine.

Not nearly as interesting a premise as BBC America's "Life on Mars" where a London cop gets hit by a car and wakes up 30 years in the past. A dream? A coma? Actual time travel? How he deals with the primitive state of police procedure in the 70's compared to what he knows is part of the pleasure.

Compare that to the dismally derivative premise of "Time" and its pitifully outdated technology and you get a less than anticipatory yawn.

Cut the America part out damnit, that was our program first and foremost.

BTW it's a sucky show anyway so don't get your hopes up.

As for this 'Time'... eh. Doesn't look like anything special if that trailer is anything to go by. Voice acting sounded deadpan all the way through, and as for the "massively constructed custom maps and beautifully designed custom skins", most of those in that video looked like stock customs that have been around for ages anyway - hell, I spotted that one of the areas they used is in fact the old 'Resident Evil' manor house map that's been around for years.

Militia II, this evidently is not.

I know but BBCA is where I see it. And, yeah, it's getting worse and worse, with very little of the Time element to differentiate it from all the other cop crap. Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, on the other hand...

BBC America is a poor substitute for Auntie Beeb.

I'm sorry but that really looked pretty poor.

The only thing I liked was the quick FMV style style of the D.N.A strands splitting.

Why do they wobble their characters around when they're speaking? You can make the character models open their mouths via mic input you know.

(The wobble motion looked good on Red Vs Blue but they didn't have any other option at the time. And when they did get a new option they immediately switched to it. (They switched from the Halo engine to the Halo 2 engine.) Update everything to the Source engine. It might be more work but you'll get a much better end-result.)

The voice-acting was decent (from what we saw) but could have been better.

As for the script, sounds like someone watched The Jacket and didn't quite understand it.

                      Other than that...... winner.

The story was interesting, but I can't stand young nerd-voices. Nerd-voices are so distinct.

lewlewl, that doesn't look too good at all -- i really expected more. at least the music sounds good so far.

tbh even *my* machinima looks better than that: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=751652994124181931

sheesh -- i guess it's a good concept though, but simply the models (and the mouths not moving, which isn't hard to implement) and the maps look bad. plus their bloom shader makes it look even worse.
