Black Hole Weapon in Episode 1

This really isn't "news" news here, but it does seem interesting enough to inform you lovely readers of CS-Nation about. A Half-Life2.net forum member going by the name RomeoJGuy, recently discovered a new weapon hidden in Half-Life 2: Episode 1.
    In [the] console type:

    "hopwire_vortex 1"

    then

    "give weapon_hopwire"

Now throw it [via primary attack] and then press attack again to activate it. It is preferable to do it in an area with lots of physics objects. I also suggest you stand back lest you wish to be crushed into singularity.
So there you have it. Go play with your new toy if you'd like. You may also try "impulse 101" for more than one black hole weapon to use. If you're intersted in what this looks like, be sure and scope out a video demonstration.

Physically speaking, that black hole has to be REALLY FUCKING SMALL to do that little damage.

Also, I like that warping effect!

technicaly, a black hole that size would just fall to the center of the earth and sit there doing nothing without hurting anybody (unless it came in direct contact with them).

Do you think that there will be more of these in episodes two and three? Might there be more weapons in episode one that have yet to be found?

Apparently the hopwire was in the alpha version of HL2, but it actually sprouted out lots of cables like a huge mesh net. *or so I have heard* *cough*

Bullshit. A black hole, firstly, is so dense that the gravitational force due to its density will not allow any information to leak out, not even light. The size of the black hole does not matter, since any black hole has a gravitational pull enough to cause even light to not escape. The gravitational pull of the black hole would be much more than that provided by the Earth, so it is preposterous to think that a black hole will simply "fall" towards the centre of the Earth, sucking in everything till a clear path is found to the core.

Hope this isn't against rules, but here's the video of the net:

Edit: It's also the same warping effect as the Strider cannon blast

i'm no expert but aren't black holes theoretical? so debating theory as if it's fact is kind of pointless guys. This is a cool find lots of fun to be had with this

Gravity is theoretical. Evolution is theoretical. What's your point?

Getting back to the real topic, Valve should really announce these types of things. It would help both the mod community and keep fans satisfied for some while after the game has been out.

                          It says this:

                          ] give "weapon_hopfirel"

Attempted to create unknown entity type weapon_hopfirel!

Why does buttman have a problem? Help?

That, and it's "hopwire" not "hopfire".
