The end of the week brings many things to people. For some it's a time to hit the town, for others it's a chance to kick back and relax at home while blowing their paycheck on the latest in lumberjack figurines. Good times. No matter what you do, you cannot escape the latest Steam news update! As the fanfare dies down, feel free to read up on the latest from Valve.
The Tripwire Interactive crew has also been very busy these past few days fielding questions and comments about Red Orchestra. As expected, the game doesn't appeal to all, but the realistic nature of the game is certainly a welcome change of pace from your typical run and gun shooter. If you haven't tried it already, might as well try it out this weekend. Remember, it takes some time to get used to the game so be sure to play it a good, long while.
Hopefully that new footage that was mentioned will find its way to Steam right after they're showcased at the Leipzig Games Convention. Any new media is good media!
With the 5-day Red Orchestra free trial now in full swing, we hope everyone will get a chance to get in and see what this game is all about over the weekend. It is completely free to try out until this coming Monday, so give it a try and see if it is the kind of game for you.Don't forget, if you wish to use the new storefront in Steam, you must opt in using Internet Explorer. This is a one time thing, and as soon as you decide to take place in the storefront BETA, you can go right back to using your favorite browser. If it scares you that much, you will have to use IE for 30 seconds, at most.
Here at Valve we're all working around the clock to get all of the pieces of Episode Two ready to show at the Leipzig Games Convention. We're looking forward to showing off Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal to everyone at the show. If you're planning on being near Leipzig, Germany in late August, feel free to drop by our area and take a look.
We're also allowing people to get an early look at the beta version of the Steam store, which we'll be releasing to everyone very soon now. If you'd like to be part of the beta, you can opt in here.

its seriously annoying when u know the potential of the game and the competitive side to it but a few small bugs stop teh game from getting anywhere.
