Team 3D Movie Broadcast On National Television

A few days ago DchozN announced on the 3D Team Website some very exciting news that will make Counter-Strike history. No need to type it out, instead I will quote DchozN himself since he put it exactly as I would of.
I am very honored and pleased to announce that the latest Team 3D gaming movie will not be released on to your computer monitors, but instead, on to the real deal: your television sets in your very own living room. Thanks to G4 TV, an American cable and satellite TV channel aimed towards the video game universe and young male culture, my brand new and original Team 3D movie shall be aired on G4 TV's long-time running Cinematech show (Episode #6028) on Monday, July 31st at 2:00 P.M. ET/PT all across the country.
So set your DVR's top record this awesome event on G4 TV tommorrow! This is the first time in the history of Counter-Strike that a video has been released on National TV! Read more here!

EDIT: If anyone missed the original airing of this show then it will be re-broadcast on 8/4 at 2pm EST/PST only on G4 TV. Also, Team 3D will have a link to download the TV broadcast directly from their website as soon as the broadcast is done airing!

Not exactly the best network to put it on :-|

Yes, I dislike G4TV very much.

    TechTV FTW.

...but on Cinematech they only show a few sec of a game. Then move to another game. Are they going to show the full video? How long is this video?

A year ago, this maybe would've been cool - but now, given a lot of the older CS players have already moved on and movie downloads from previously huge sites like CSFlicks are at an all-time low, I can't imagine that something like this is really going to go down too well.

G4 is an abomination unto God. I haven't watched them since they fired everyone except the X-Play guys, then Adam Sessler quit and I lost all faith in God. Their shows are the television equivalent of a 45 year old trying to reach out and be 'cool' to 13 year olds. They're so corny and so cheaply made C-Span looks good by comparison.

Well any station which has a beauty awards show for 'video game vixens' is clearly dire.

I didn't see their review for Red Orchestra when it aired, but I heard plenty about it. Such a terrible job all around there with how they reviewed that game.

So now cable(/sat) channels are considered "national tv". News to me.

G4 sucks (or as I like to call it, "SpikeTV 2", which also sucks). I usually say something like "G4 has sucked ever since blah blah" but I've recently realized that it always sucked and so did TechTV and whatever it was before then. I can't remember the name I don't think, but I remember it was just as crappy. (ZDtv or something?).

TechTV was pretty good by itself.

X-Play was the only thing on G4/G4TechTV but now theres no Adam anymore so...

G4TechTV is basically just G4 now... it's all gone to hell.

I dont want to be the ass here. But you guys are all talking crap on G4 - You are m issing the point of this post: Counter-Strike is going to be featured on National TV. I never watch G4 and could care less about it. But damn I iwll be watching it tommorrow night - If you care about the future of CS then you will appreciate this.

I don't have cable, so I definitely won't be seeing it unless I get a raw feed from some piracy-related means.

TechTV was a good channel; this would have meant something if it was up on TechTV and if the channel were still alive. I hear G4 is still OK in Canada, where they have a bit of a mix between gaming and tech, but in the US it really is just Spike 2.0.

Also, to ZackMorris and Bokuho: I'm going to take a guess and say that CS is really just in a rut right now. I can definitely see it reviving in the near future. Yeah, I guess showing it to a bunch of young men with expendable money on a popular(?) channel would help, but I think it'll come back somehow.

I saw the red orchestra review, you can tell the writers are complete dumbasses who think stupid games like halo 2 are "super cool". They gave it a 2 out of 5, for the soul reason "it was realistic." Basically all they said was "REALISM LOL, NOT FUN AND GAY", total biased bullshit.
