IDK I don't keep up with CS news anymore but really, who cares? It's not like there are a ton of cheaters everywhere, at least not in the handful of steam multiplayer games I still play.

CD was a nice idea in theory but the developers just couldn't keep up with the hackers and nobody likes using third party software, especially when VAC is around.



I haven't played any multiplayer steam games since late 2004 so I don't know what cheating is like these days.

It actually doesn't seem that bad in pubs, on the rare occasion that I dare enter into one of those shit holes, but it's pretty bad in competitive play.

We don't have any cheaters, in fact, most of our members (and 4 of our starting 5) live within 5 minutes of me and we LAN all the time.

I always hated Cheating-Death, so this isn't a big loss to me.

Cheating Death was always an annoyance. Half the time it didn't stop cheaters, and the whole system really did quite suck with it changing your name and everything.
