DoD: Source Free Weekend Underway

The free weekend for Day of Defeat: Source kicked off a short time ago.

The second Day of Defeat: Source Free Weekend has begun. This free trial period features all the new content recently added in the Summer Update to Day of Defeat: Source, including the new gameplay type (Detonation), new missions (Jagd, Colmar) and gameplay and technology enhancements. If you already have Steam, click here to give it a try with no obligation to buy. If you do not have a Steam account, click here to create a free account and join the ranks for the Free Weekend. All Steam users also receive free access to the recently added Media area, which features the DoD movie shorts and a growing collection of game trailers.

The free weekend is open to anyone, and will conclude at 1PM on July 10th. Of course, if you aren't a fan of DoD or don't enjoy a free weekend, there's still plenty o' Counter-Strike to go around!

I'm having a "blast" with this free weekend thing. My computer sucks too much to play at decent performance. =(

Looks great (with the 'film grain' effect turned off) but it's the same dull gameplay I remember from long before Source. I can't believe they charge for this trivial afterthought of a mod. Is it just my imagination or do the German side players always cheat?
