Tom "Varsity" Edwards of The Steam Review recently took note of a new look for the Steam store. The work in progress was dubbed as "v3" and has since been hidden from public view. The following is a screen capture that can be found on Varsity's site.

As you can see, the new design is more aesthetically pleasing to look at compared to the current store. There is some speculation as to if the redesign holds some greater purpose in the long run. Perhaps a redisgn of the main Steampowered site, or a gearing up for a wave of additional games, or just a store redesign for store redesigning sake.
