New CAL CS:S Map Released - de_strike

So, you play in CAL league for Season 5? Enough said then - We all saw de_strike on the pre season schedule and we all said "What the heck, that map hasn't been released yet!" - Well, it has officially been released! Enough said. Please, start scrimming, this is a great map!



Be sure to click on "Files" on the right side of the page when you go here to download it.



I gave it a quick run through, and it should be a decent conversion map from 1.6 to Source like previous CAL maps have been!



Now, since it is late at night, back to watching "Yo Momma!" on MTV!



EDIT: 5-16-06 A new version of de_strike has been released. Please download new map and update servers with new map.

Letting you know, due to the nature of the CAL Website linking directly to the files page as you did takes you to a page w/out all the proper information.



Best option is to link to one of the CSS divisions and tell people to click on "files" on the right.



But I agree, strike is fun, though there's some serious bugs before it's in usable state, Kanadian (the mapper) has stated an update will be ready for release on sunday (Today)

haha, jesus christ. I scrimmed this a few times tonight, and there's soo much wrong with it. You can boost with one person at the A site, on top of the canopy, on top of the roof and you can not only see into the nearby hallway, but you can walk on top of or underneath the map and see everything.



I thought they pulled strike before because it was too buggy?

New version of the map should be uploaded early this evening.

the new map is called de_strikebeta, which is what the other, buggy version should have been called.



this new one is much better. fixed all the bugs that I was aware of, made the map much brighter and improved visibility, and made some very minor changes to the placement of boxes, a ladder, etc.
