CS Source Gun Game mod v3 released

This CS Source mod was updated to version 3 recently. Of special interest to the few that know this mod are the removal of a dependency on Mani Admin, and server admins now merely require the EventScripts mod.

What is it?

A levelling mod for Counter Strike:Source. Everyone starts with a glock. You must get a kill with it to level up to level 2. You get better weapons the higher level you are, until the end. The last two levels are the hardest: hegrenade, then knife. It adds a new twist to how you play CS, and also helps clans to train with weapons they don't normally use.

I have been playing this mod regularly, and I have to admit it's a ton of fun. 4HM|Cagemonkey, the mod's author, has set up a v3 server at 216.127.94.57:27035 - Try it out for yourself!

fun mod, I only won once soo far.. the trick is using the knife to skip ranks after you get your kill with that weapon

100% agree, but a little voice inside my head, says cheaters will destroy it before it gets popular.

Stupid and unbalanced mod. This is just a thinly veiled attempt at causing the mass pwnage of noobies stuck with the glock. Just play BF2 and get your unlocks. If you really wanna practice with a particular gun then play some aim_ or deathmatch maps.

ash, it doesnt really work that way.. if you join a game mid way thru you get the average level, instead of starting at 1

This mod is cool for about 2 full games. Then it just gets boring as hell.
