    SK Strikes Again Video

As I was browsing/lurking the CPL FTP page a few nights ago, after a very hard nights worth of scrimming with my team, I happened to notice a very recent addition to the site with the title of "sk_documentary.zip". Curiosity killed the cat and I downloaded this video (thanks CPL!) and I was quite amazed with what I saw!

The video documents the entire SK team and it's various conquests throughout last year at major events and is beautifully put together. As someone who enjoys competitive Counter-Strike this video pumped me up and I wanted to go wake my team up again and start scrimming. It shows the intensity, passion, and thrill of playing in a major E-Sports event. I definitely recommend this video for everyone.

Since I was using CPL and their bandwith I did not want to post the news until it was released officially. And without any further ado...
Intel has been a thriving force behind SK Gaming and eSports for several years now. After creating the first ever eSports TV commercial featuring SK they have now created a mini documentary about SK Gaming and their major victories of last year.

Featured in the documentary are Daniel "SK.Miou" Holthuis, Dennis "SK|Styla" Schellhase and SK Sweden who all won major tournaments last year at three different events. Next to video footage from CPL Winter 2005, EPS VII Finals and WCG Singapore 2005 you will also get interviews with Andreas "bds" Thortensson and Angel Munoz from the CPL. The entire documentary entitled SK Strikes Again is about 9 minutes long and can be downloaded in three different sizes and in German or English versions.
You can read the rest here or you can download it here. Cheers!

Very impressive production value. I did expect more gameplay footage however.

Read it, watched it, posting about it.

          Boring. As.

Yeah yeah, they're oh-so-professional and all that. We get that, they mention it all over their website and in every video they do. yawn fest there.

Shame they didn't go into more detail about the things which could actually be interesting - i.e. how they actually go about business. You know, instead of just saying "we're the best, we rule all", maybe they could've explained just what goes into being the best, things like their recruitment policy, the different training systems each team for each game uses, just how the hell they get about from place to place, etc etc, and why they're so good. I think they missed the boat on this one.

I would care more about CPL if everytime I saw a game/demo I didn't see those nice aimbots that pull your cursor onto a terrorist's head everytime the player pulls the trigger.

Ban the cheaters, or get no respect from me.

Are you actually accusing SK of cheating...?

You do realise that the CPL is a LAN and that anyone who tried to cheat would be spotted in roughly three seconds and then beaten on by every other player in the building, right?

I was just going to correct him on that but it seemed so futile. Thanks for the intervention guys :)
