Shared Ban System

A new Metamod: Source plugin, Shared Ban System (SBS) was recently released to the public. This plugin promises to globalize bans across all servers using the SBS plugin. The plugin, at present, is only for servers running Source games (CS: Source, DoD: Source, etc.).

It is our great privilege to announce the availability of SBS, Sharedbans' server side plug-in. Armed with SBS, we aim to create a global banning list to liberate gamers worldwide from the cheaters who would spoil everyone's fun and investments with their hacks, by keeping all banned players from even only joining SBS-protected servers.

This wouldn't be a bad idea, if you have responsible admins running the system. I already have visions of legit players being wrongfully banned globally from an over zealous server admin, but you never know.

Those are my thoughts exactly. If it can be maintained properly, it's a great idea. Otherwise, I can see a lot going wrong.

Seriously, any admins that come across this, do us all a favor and don't use it. As bad of an idea as it is.. it will be even worse if it becomes popular.
