SAS and Leet Released

I like the new Leet Crew, its decent, its detailed, makes sense, reminds me alot of the old 1.6 version.



But the SAS, what the hell? i use to like being him because he was coloured black and could seriously 'hide in the shadows' like they should, not use a semi recoloured GIGN body

the SAS model is lame i cannot wait for some reskins to change him back.

Maybe he was talking about your OWN shadow. Although you could never see it before. Only other players can and that can give away your position. I'm sure this is on there "to do list"

Some maps have no player shadows if you play with Direct X9, like Cbble and Italy. But this has been there for months now...

LEET dude looks good to me: it's got the spirit of 1.6 but SAS looks nothing like it's previous versions and a bit too much like the other CT source models. If it was all black and w/o helmet it could pass muster.

The leet looks cool and the SAS, I couldn't care less about, because its a CT and they all look too much the same for me to give a shit anyway.

I think they're nice, but there's too much crap on l337's belt. I guess it's better than nothing.

SAS is kinda forever ruined in my eyes, the original SAS is way too badass for a helmet, and their armor was darker to reflect their badassery. They got pansified.



The 1337 crew is 1337 though.

Now that I've played with them for a while I have to say both models look very good imho.. Especially the better bumpmapping (or is it normalmapping? whatever) on them makes them look more real.. It's obvious that Valve now also has to update the other (older) models to bring them upto the same level as the SAS & L33T, I'm sure they will eventually..

SAS is okay. Reflection in the gas mask goggles is cool.
