Who's the moron? That's all community member speculation with no bearing on reality. Valve never said anything remotely like that. I make make shit up just as well as that site can but it isn't going to create continuity between the two games.
Read this and tell me the story isnt related moron..

And I'm calling bullshit on Marc Lidauw over this site. He said it was pretty darn accurate after the site launched. Now that may be what he had planned for the HL story line, but the fact is there's no evidence of any of that crap in either game, and I don't care what the author's ideas were--what got published is what happened. There is no continuity.Comment

There is plenty of evidence shown there and in the game, the storytelling of half-life requires you to study the game and take your time noting subtle hints. It doesnt hand everything over to you on a silver platter like some games. Show me something in that timeline that does not have evidence towards it or is not an obvious conclusion. Im sure it will all become clear to you in... well im not really at liberty to say. (quote from G-Man, think i got it right :) )Comment

Despite my love for your comments here, peagle, I do have to remind you that movies at Blockbuster video cost around $3 for a 2-hour flick that you and your friends can all watch together, lowering the price to you even further. If you wanna talk entertainment bang for your buck, movies destroy video games hands down. People often throw out "movie tickets" as a counter-example, and as soon as I'm able to play Half-Life on one of those big-screens, I'll start listening to that example. :)
Even if its $30 for 6 hours of entertainment, that's dirt cheap, filthy cheap, dime-whores-on-5th-avenue cheap for a fun diversion and a bit of escapism in the half life world. Try and entertain yourselves for less without dropping your pants.
That said, I'll agree there are many other forms of entertainment that are far more expensive, and most of those involve spending a lot of money on some chick in some sort of vain hope that nice memories that include you will make her forget about your horrible personality.
