meowmewo, throwing insults around online does not make you cooler.
    I believe it does, actually.

Dude.. I don't care alright.. I want to play a game that's between 10 - 20 hours, not 30 minutes every god damn year. And this is STEAM we're talking about, you'll have to be ONLINE TO PLAY EVERY GOD DAMN VALVE GAME..

Man.. this is total bullshit.. and I HIGHLY doubt they'll release the "episodic content" via retail, they'll just make this shit online only, you pay for it online and you play with it while online.
So you know this is just a name change and nothing more, right? Oh okay, good. Then you can stop your misplaced bitching now.

Where are you getting this idea that Episode 1 is only going to be 30 minutes long? Google some interviews about Aftermath and you'll see that it's longer than that.

Also -- you only have to be online ONCE before you can put Steam into Offline mode and play all your Singleplayer games to your heart's content. You've got internet enough to post on CSN, so what's your beef with Steam?

Personally, once I know the final pricing and content of Episode 1 I'll think about buying it. The people at Valve do a good enough job crafting their games that to me it's worth paying money.

Wow guys... it's been known since the beginning that Aftermath was going to be the first of many HL2 expansions, or "episodes" as they're called.

Don't go ballistic about this name change, it's the same game and the same episodic idea that's been in place since the beginning. Don't even try to make it out like this is a new notion.

It's been awhile since I read about it but are they releasing a HL3 or are these expansions just going to keep going until the game is resolved?

Zips - thats great, have fun wasting your hard earned money every month when valve starts busting these "episodes" out like popcap busts out new levels for "Zuma Deluxe"

I think Valve has made another mistake in marketing, and while this is episodic content was wellknown, fuck them for making it feel like a worthless expansional content...lets wait and see if it is longer than 2 hours. Fucken hate how they think they can just suck us into their little steam vortex of bullshit!

Cool...thanks fatty (rizzuh) for giving me attention!!! almost forgot about my little bold avatar!! :)

... It's been the same plan since the beginning. What don't you guys get about that? And nobody is forcing you to buy anything.

And an episode per month? Come on. Maybe one every 6 months, if that. They're expansions. Expansions are episodes. Probably 10 hour long games at a fraction of the cost. Some of these comments here really just show that simply by changing the name you guys take it as a whole new meaning. The meaning has not changed one bit.

Wow, this seems like one of the most controversial changes VALVe has made. Maybe someone can put all of it together and create a documentary.

Most changes valve has towards its pr plan are unwanted changes, if that.....
