    Two New Community Made Maps

Two community members (and obvious fans of Counter-Strike), Jissé and kimdav, have sent along word of their newest creations for the community. Jissé and his team have pieced together a CS1.6 map entitled de_raid. The map features support for up to 32 players and has been in development for nearly a year to fine tune a number of gameplay aspects.

If the promise of a fun and original experience seems to tickle your fancy, then don't hesitate to download de_raid right now.

The next map featured is by kimdav, and is called cs_negociator for CS: Source. The map was inspired by the film "The Negotiator" and features support for up to 64 players.

Looking for the download link for cs_negociator? Look no further!

The second map is horrible if only for the fact that they spelled "negotiator" wrong.

I don't think either of these mapper's native languages are English. They both look like really good maps :)

Have you tried playing it at all? So far it's actually receieved a lot of postitive feedback. If you have actually tried it, then fair enough.

I'm really impressed by how de_raid looks. They did a great job with the rock walls.

I remember the film, Spacey and Jackson what a crazy double act. :) This guy must have really been into the film for it to inspire a map, gonna check it out when I get home.

Isn't it incorrect to include the filename prefix in the map title? I mean, the maps are called "Dust 2", "Militia", "Assault", etc., not "de_dust2", etc. So Zips should write: "CS1.6 map entitled Raid", not "CS1.6 map entitled de_raid", right?

I dunno, I'm just nitpicking here.

Could go either way. I opted to go this route to let people know what maptype they were getting into beforehand. Especially with relatively unknown community made maps.

Is it de_negociator or cs_negociator? You put both.

I'm just terribly picky with spelling and grammar. The map itself looks nice, but that's simply not enough for me to not nag simple things.

If you look back on comments I made here three years ago, you'll understand why I must be fussy.

Well, indeed there were "only" four monthes (partially) spent on the gameplay tuning :) ...
