Shaguar interviewed on 3D playing Source

For those of you who do not know, the 27 biggest Source clans are battling it out in Denver right now for the top spot, and a sweet $21,000 prize. Because of the performance by Team 3D at the 2005 WCG in Source they were honored with the number 2 seed in the tournament. Our friends over at GotFrag.com have posted a nice interview with the man known as Shaguar from 3D.
GotFrag: Team 3D obviously did very well with Source at WCG, do you feel the team will do as well with the dedicated North American teams at EverLAN?

Shaguar:I think EverLAN will be endlessly more challenging than WCG was. There were really only two or three teams at WCG (Kazahkstan and Singapore to name a few) whose primary game was Source, while EverLAN will be riddled with teams that have been preparing 5-6 nights a week since Summer CPL looking forward to this event.
So the big question is: How will Team 3D do against the best Source teams in the world? I guess only the next 24 hours will tell. Go read the interview until then!

It's curious as to how much the esports thrill has started to dwindle off with it becoming more and more mainstream.

I wish they would ask them what they think about CS:S. If it's ok the way it is now or what (they think) needs to be fixed.

..but there just doing it for the money now... Not that many good clans in CS:S.

Good to see some top CS 1.6 teams competing in CS:S aswell now, I'd say it's about time..

And offcourse they will do well, because despite the differences CS 1.6 and CS:S are still the same game in which 3D obviously has the skill and experience to do very well in.. Once they learn the CS:S maps etc they will be just as good as they were/are in CS 1.6.. They even say themselfs in this interview that the effects of switching versions are only short term, so no big deal..

                2-3 weeks isn't really that short-term...
