Olson here... regarding the Stonehenge map... many people have wondered about why I put Stonehenge into a South American setting. The reason was when I referred to real footage of Stonehenge, the landscape seemed very dull. From what I can tell, it is surrounded by a flat grassland. So I decided to make something a little more imaginative.

Really, all confusion about the issue has proven to me that 99% of the people who open a new map skip right over the intro text. I guess that is to be expected since most people are playing CS to go shoot someone rather than read a book.

Anyway, I appreciate all the comments.

We've all been desensitized to the map intro text by a combination of bad plot scenarios and a desire to enter the game as quickly as possible. How many times do you want to read "the evil terrorists are trying to blow up some random item of significance" before it becomes meaningless?

If the map intro text had, from the beginning, been a place where people put in helpful hints and other useful information about the given map, then I could imagine people still actually reading them. As it is, though... yeah, your assumption about the bulk majority of people skipping that text is a very safe and justifiable one.

Anyway, whether this ends up getting a lot of playtime or not, thanks for spending your personal time to give something to the community for free. :)
