Maybe they could make a map in which the t's have taken over subway?
, Then the ct's have to defuse the bomb before they blow the butty's up! You could even have hossies as customers but you can shoot them without losing money. Least there signs would go with the enviroment of the map..... You could even have Rats!!! to add that look and feel of the place:).
Other than that pretty stupid..., Valve dont need anymore money!, Also who paided for CS again?, Subway or Us?, If this all does end up being a hoax for CS or if Valve wont have anything to do with the ad's. Would end up being one of the very few times lots of people will be thanking Valve and not flaming them..
Anyways seeya BTW Valve love what you done to Source It Rocks! The Hitboxes Are Sorted! Source def owns 1.6, Just need Cs_Iraq now
hehe

From the Engage website:
Advertising that is non-invasive to game-play and is contextually relevant to the environment can create a positive connection between the brand and the consumer.
As persons before have stated, ingame advertisements give negative impressions to both the server and the ad brand.Comment

fix what? fix a bunch of whining cs players spoiling the game?
Tell EA to fix Battlefield 2. Until then, shut up.
I've played it since day 1, and everything about it is better. not a pissing match, I play and like cs too (and for a long freaking time now), I've written and support tools for cs. I'm a developer and gamer, and all I see is that its easy for people who dont do shit to sit and complain about those who do do things, and do them better than all their competition.
If you think about product lifecycle, the hl1 engine has been around for how long? on top of that, it uses parts of a game engine that are even older (ie quake) and more mature. it has had much longer to mature, and have "bugs" worked out. battlefield has been around for a while too, and the new game engine has only been out a short time. that said, it is by far a better game (on a number of levels... this is my opinion, kthx).
valve has a content distribution system that is far superior, if you're used to a company being able to push 50 patches a year, then anything else is going to seem like they dont care, but unlike valve, if EA/Dice pushed out that many patches, it would be a total cluster f**ck, no one would be synchronized, and no one would be able to play. Instead, there are fewer patches, and the patches are stable. valve has recalled patches they've made, but with the system the rest of the world uses, thats not possible / easy. EA/Dice follows a maintenance path that virtually every other software development company uses. If you want to complain, then complain, but know that you sound like an idiot for doing so.
oh, and no need to be rude.Comment

Bug fixes are a major lacking area of the Dice/EA crew. Same as there are numerous complaints about the terrible in-game browser for that game. At least they're starting to fix up some of the major gameplay issues that aren't included in the bug list.

Enjoy the $10 "booster packs" though...Comment

well thats the best in game browser you're gonna get. its an architecture problem, not a bug problem. anytime you go with a macromedia flash UI (which is what that is) as your ingame UI you're bound to have problems. I agree that the ingame UI sucks, but the actual "game" is great. I dont spend any time in the UI portion of any game.
the night cs:source came out, I logged at least 60 bugs (and how long has source gone w/ only 1 selectable player model?). I've had no "bug" problems with bf2 tho.
I'd rather have the free "booster packs" like valve does, rather than pay 30 or $10 for expansion packs. but I have the money now, when I didnt that would be a big hangup for me. I'd rather pay $9.99 than $30 (like I did for special forces...) so that is a plus (and easier to get "kitchen passes" for from the wife)Comment

cs has been big sense 99 where have you been? steam is not introduced to non-gamers.. that doesnt even make sense..where did you get that from?
I remember the first week steam came out.. there were a few kids that said they hated steam on the boards.. but couldnt give a viable reason why... please stop repeating these people if you dont really have a problem with steam.. If you follow facts and not people steam was created as valves in house distributor because of there legal problem with Universal/vevendi (I think thats there name)
On the case of ads in games.. I also play Anarchi Online with a free account and they have ads but because its free I dont mind..and there servers fees are in the thousands per month
It appears they didnt have an agreement with valve or steam (which is owned by valve you steam haters) and I prey they didnt have an agreement with the server admin because Id love to see valve sue someone else.. makes my black heart meltComment
