We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
A brand spankin new update was released tonight for the Source engine. This update features a number of updates dealing with graphics, sound, the UI, and SourceTV. Restart Steam to let the downloading fun begin!

Fixed occasional graphics artifact tearing run running on Nvidia 6800 hardware
Fixed mismatch of bumpmapped/non-bumpmapped surfaces in HDR
Fixed bug where mat_colorcorrection wasn't getting set properly on when running for the first time
Updated default configuration settings for some newer video cards
Fixed full-screen flicker bug when Alt-Tabbing out of fullscreen (particularly at high resolutions)
User Interface
Added progress bar state to print a description when the server changes levels
Show disconnect dialog when client connection times out
Fixed anti-aliasing on fonts
Fixed a memory leak in vgui
Fix for startup video not showing correctly if running fullscreen with desktop resolution less than or equal to 1024x768
Fixed bug where game would crash when taking a bug screenshot if the screen/window resolution was wider that 2048 pixels
[break="even more changes"]
Sound
Fixed sound initializing twice at startup in some cases
Optimized sound engine performance
Fixed a bug where machines without proper sound hardware and/or drivers would crash
SourceTV
Added SourceTV port and delay time to status output if SourceTV is active
Added new command net_status that shows more detailed information about total and average packet loss, latency, packets/sec and bandwidth
Added convar tv_autoretry 1 so relay proxies try to reconnect after connection crashed/timed out
Added convar tv_timeout to specify connection timeout limit in seconds
Improved spectator client dispatching, should be faster and balance better
Fixed SourceTV relays being unable to connect to sv_lan 1 servers
A steam update has been released today, unreported by Zips which most likely means he has been abducted and/or is a terrorist:
Fixed Garry's Mod servers not being listed in game
Added cvars to let the server prevent clients setting unreasonable network settings: sv_mincmdrate, sv_maxcmdrate, sv_client_predict, sv_client_interpolate, sv_client_interp, and sv_client_cmdrate_difference
Added protection against servers manipulating the cl_restrict_server_commands cvar
Allow servers to execute the "play" command on clients
Added an interface to allow servers to query most cvar values on the clients
Added the IP address of the machine executing an rcon command to the server logfiles
Fixed spectator relaying in SourceTV
Removed cl_cmdbackup
Good news for admin plug-in modules (access to set client rates) following on the heels of the issues caused by cl_restrict_server_commands. Also, there was a problem for Linux servers with the original update today causing crashes that has now been addressed. So, if you love freedom, head over to your server host and update today.
Seems like a welcome influx of updates recently, so without much ado here's a list of the latest from Valve, and some good news if you have any friends:
Source Engine updates:
Removed revert command, as it was being used to change restricted cvars
Enabled friends in the in-game player list
Fixed server browser to allow banned users in Counter-Strike 1.6 to play Garry's Mod online
I'm more of a fan of #1, than #3 myself. Personally if you hacked in 1.6 I'd like you to be banned from ever playing a game, and possibly finding true love, for life. As usual restart your Steam client to get the new update.
Yeah, I'll definitely be checking it out to see if I can play without everything having the current disgusting glossy coat.
And for the record, not all of us are immature enough to get into a flamewar over which video card manufacturer is "the best." I personally run a 6600GT in my system, but both nVidia and ATi make quality video cards with differing advantages and disadvantages. I, for one, appreciate the variety of options these two companies make available to me as a consumer. I'm pretty certain the prices would be far higher than they already are if it weren't for this healthy competition. :)
Yeah, there are few markets which have two pretty much equal competitors. Too many things have either one massively leading company, or loads of companies with tiny market share. Neither being particularly good.
i don't think Valve really does anything specifically for a particular brand of video card. it's just that Valve has ATi's corporate dong in their mouth and always pimps their name whenever there's a discussion of video stuff.
