Definitely glad to see it will be the 1.5 model -- I found the CZ model to be not only less attractive, but also far too easy to confuse with orange-suited hostages, leading to some painful mistakes, heh.
TF2, on the other hand, was announced many years ago, but we haven't heard much about it since, after the HL2-release comments of "oh, we wanted to do more with TF2 than we were able to with this engine, so we had to design Source."

There's something fun about flaunting yourself that way, like "hey, I stand out like a sore thumb, and you still can't kill me" or whatever. That, and you just stand out from the crowd a little more.
Seeing Arctic Joe wearing that snowsuit in the hot rainy aztec really urks me.
hugo-rj wrote..I do like the texture work in CZ better in many circumstances, but CS:S has the potential to look better overall, if you crank the res and details to max. That said, I don't get ultra-smooth framerates like that in CS:S, so with my settings... yeah, CZ looks better.
PS: CZ models do suck, but the maps are pretty. Dust maps are prettier than CS:S' ones.
Fajo wrote..There is no such thing as TFC2. There never has been, there never will be. It wouldn't be very "classic" if it was version 2, now would it?
Of corse by then thay may release TFC2 means its only 2 years...

EdisLeado wrote..That idea has been tossed around for quite some time, and while I think it worked fairly well for CSX, I think we'd end up with the same complaints about only 1 model per team if it were actually implemented. The alternative would be to have something like 16 models per team, with say 4 variations of 4 base themes (desert, snow, urban, tropical) and then go through and assign themes on a per-map basis. At the rate of models being released, however, I wouldn't even jokingly suggest that. :)
I'd rather something like the CS for Xbox -- Where in each map -- There is one type of model for each team -- And depending on what map it is, the type of the model changes.
I also think that all the player models' faces should be covered -- It'd be nice not to see 15 clones of the same model over and over with the same FACE.I actually like having the CTs with masks and T's typically without... not that facial variation wouldn't be nice, but providing a decent selection of models to choose from generally means you're looking at several different pairs of twins or triplets, not just clones. :P
