I used to be so so so supportive of CS:S - but they never bothered to fix the netcode - so now, me and countless others think it's bollocks and have just stopped playing it altogether.

Yes. And, on the same note, for some reason the 1.6 population accounts for well over more than half of all of Valve's games, Counter-Strike: Source included...



The composition of this reason is obvious (and no--it's definitely not because the vast majority of the population lack powerful enough Computers).





Mark my words: the CPL will be still playing 1.6 at their events even long after the absolute death of Counter-Strike "Source."

IMHO the only thing that'll kill CS:S is CS2. I love 1.6 as much as the next guy, but at some point a game based on the Quake 1 engine is going to fail to draw in any new players purely due to its aging visuals.
