For some reason CPL still think its a good idea to play 1.6 at their events and will continue to use it all next year. Congrats to SK for keeping up their domination of the pro scene.

Then you are pretty fucking stupid.
Wow, e-sports CS still exists? I haven't been paying attention for the past year or so and I assumed they all just died out like the rest of the CS community.

Yes. And, on the same note, for some reason the 1.6 population accounts for well over more than half of all of Valve's games, Counter-Strike: Source included...

The composition of this reason is obvious (and no--it's definitely not because the vast majority of the population lack powerful enough Computers).
Mark my words: the CPL will be still playing 1.6 at their events even long after the absolute death of Counter-Strike "Source."Comment

Or maybe it's because 1.6 is the final build (CZ excluded) of a free mod which spread like wildfire to the far corners of the earth over the last 5 years.

IMHO the only thing that'll kill CS:S is CS2. I love 1.6 as much as the next guy, but at some point a game based on the Quake 1 engine is going to fail to draw in any new players purely due to its aging visuals.

KOREAN TEAM. They beat the KOREAN team "Lunatic-hai," who I was rooting for BTW. D:
Wow - This is a really suprising win ... I honestly expected COL to win in the beginning ... But neither them nor 3D managed to even get close ...
Another suprise to me is that NiP did so well.... even though SK beat them ...
I honestly never would of guessed SK.swe could pull this off without their old lineup in regards to who they faced ... Nip, then a 4x overtime match against 3D ... then coming behind to win against that japenese clan ... GGComment
