#11 - It's a public forum. I'll say what I like, it's my opinion, you don't have to agree with it. If I think it looks about as fun as having a seizure on a bed of nails, then why would I say otherwise?...

Well, the thing is, nobody agrees with you. I'm sure they'll all agree with me when I say shut the fuck up, though.

            what a stupid game!!!! LOL

first rag doll kung fu or whatever that crap was... now this??

CS:S is slowly dying... there are less and less servers... this is a disturbing trend.

            sigh...

            I am so disappointed

Darwinia was one of those games I seriously considered buying, but never took the time to pick up. Now that I can soon get it with just a few clicks of my mouse... I don't know what's stopping me.

I should probably try the demo first, but I've heard good things.

Yep it happens... Its what we all though steam would turn into I guess a dumping ground for games. But try the demo before you bash it ^^. I'm not going to say whether its bad or good because I havn't tried a demo of it, but sounds interesting.

haha. gotta love gamers these days - they don't even have to play games before knowing how good they are!

i already own Darwinia, and it's probably the best game i've played in the last year. most original, open ended and enjoyable. not to mention addictive.

                  great news.

thats hardly true, steam isnt just for half-life, its a content delivery system. i personally applaud valve for giving some independent developers a chance, for these guys its their big break, and will probably lead onto better things for all of them. The same with rag-doll kung-fu. This is an example of a company with alot of pull in the industry using its powers for good, not evil.

What does releasing another company's game on Steam have to do with Counter-strike?

'woah', you do realize the news category is called steam updates... and you can actually turn certain categories off in your profile settings.

as for darwinia.. it looks very cool (seen the videos), but lets wait till the demo comes :)

Though this game has nothing to do with CS, it DOESN'T mean anything negative either. Why are there then comments about ignoring CS? This game has a completely different development team and the only VALVe cycles spent on it will be in product marketing.

                              THE DEMO IS ALREADY OUT.

THE FULL GAME IS ALREADY OUT.

And don't say this game sucks if you haven't even played it.

I have played it and it's a VERY good game.

Steam was designed by Valve as a means of circumventing traditional marketing methods for any and all interested developers. It gets their name out without all the corporate bullshit. Think of it as an indie label but for video games. All these other games being released on Steam just mean Vavle's dreams are coming to fruition.
