map review: a lost temple worth finding

Ask yourself this question, what do you get when you cross the writing talents of peagle, the creative brainchild of rizzuh, and my amazing ability to report the hard hitting news? You get the first, of what promises to be many, Counter-Strike map reviews! First up on the plate is a review for the CS: Source map, de_losttemple.
Now, a year later, there's a whole map-sack(TM) full of great custom maps out there, deserving of your attention and your playtime. To answer the call of that mighty sack comes CSN's new series of map review articles, where we appraise the best of the best, and in the coming weeks host them, should you be unwelcome anywhere else.

With this plethora of excellence however, came the problem of what to review first. Hostage or defuse? Fight yard or ..er.. surf? A ported custom from 1.6 or something entirely new? In the end, there was no right answer, so I picked one that reminded me of a vacation where I got lucky.
Covering the highs and the lows of the map, peagle's review gets right up in your face and doesn't back down until the closing period! So what are you waiting for? Get to reading, and be sure to share your thoughts or personal experiences with the rest of the community.

I was looking at this map the other day and was VERY tempted to play it and if it was good, add it to my servers rotation - I am glad this read came out too at the same time this map is getting in front of my eyes - Helps me out.

I've been playing this map for a couple months now, one of my favorites. Combines dust and aztec (two awesome maps) into one IMO, making it great.

Sometimes I just like to print out a copy of Peagles work and take a nice hot bubble bath while reading it.

Nice review there, peagle. What's with the trashing on de_dust though? I mean, dust and CS are so intertwined that I cannot imagine one without the other. And the many fantastic strategies that you left out, such as T's camping their own spawn round after round.

Okay, so maybe the Taco Bell analogy was pretty good afterall. :P But yeah, well-done review, even if at times it seemed like you were using superfluous, ostentatious esoteric comments in an attempt to sound sagacious or maybe just prodigious.

But yeah, well done. Looking forward to more content like this in the weeks ahead.

That's it Nighthawk, you've finally managed to confuse more than 90% of CSNation's viewers.

I didn't see a score or a rating for the map... wouldn't that make it much easier to compare maps to each other, especially if CSN is planning on doing more reviews?

Unless I missed it, I think it would be a good idea to have a score, or some recap score for... Visuals, Layout, Fun, etc.
