Panoramic Screenshots Tutorial

Sure, many people like taking screenshots while playing Counter-Strike. whether it be to capture the moment after obliterating half of the opposing team, showing off the raw sexuality of your graphics card's capabilities, or even *cough* to submit a POTD to CS-Nation.



A tutorial on how to take panoramic screenshots was posted yesterday on The GunSlingers clan's website. In just a few short steps you can take those boring wallpaper-sized screenshots and turn them into a complete spherical view from the viewpoint of the your player.

Very few people know that it is possible to take panoramic screenshots while playing Counter-Strike or any other Half-Life 2 mod. Below you will find out the easiest way to take these screenshots. Have no clue what a panoramic screenshot looks like? Please look at these examples of panoramic screenshots that we took. If you do not have QuickTime installed then these will not display correctly.

MIKEJ??? LOL! Anyways ... I hope DaveJ can back me up here ... he published this blog 6 MONTHS ago and no one has noticed it ... Me, as a fan of his work, has not even noticed until now - If you compare the two pieces of work you will notice that I have not just CUT N PASTED but retyped it all and applied it to to the CS world =)

Cool article! I'm forwarding the link to the article to my brother, who likes to take panoramic images. This could be a fun toy to play around the next time he goes mountain climbing.



Up to this point, he'd used another piece of free software called Autostitch to join separate images. It works fabulously. He was showing me a panorama that he took the other day, that was joined just about flawlessly and looked like a single photograph.
