Just going by memory, isn't that the scripting that more or less lets you set up additional rules and make online gameplay mods based on gmod. I read just a bit about it in 1UP's article a while back...

Nighthawk has won the grand prize!

        I haven't even downloaded 9.0 but I'm assuming I should.

Why? Garry's Mod is not Counter-Strike related. Who cares if it uses the same engine of a crappy sequel?

              Without Half-Life, there wouldn't be a Counter-Strike.

No one answered my previous question if someone named Garry made "Garry's Mod". I can only continue guessing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Garry's Mod is made by a Garry. Heck, read their wiki:

                    http://gmwiki.garry.tv/index.php/Garry

I vaguely recall someone also by the name of Garry actively part of the CS community a few years back; I think he was some sort of notorious figure but I don't remember why.

That pic is way out of date, for reference. Many names have passed through that list, even briefly my own after rizzuh thought I was encouraging warez distribution a few years back. :P Ah, the memories of adding people to that list... good times. Garry isn't banned anymore, as now he spends his spare time productively (see news post) instead of trolling around here.

Historically, Garry beta-tested our first ever 1-year ban (as shown in that pic), and after that expired, he came back and acted like his old self. That earned him the additional honor of helping us test out a specialized 3-month ban, custom-created just for him.

                              Thanks again Garry!
