I never anticipate with VALVe anymore, I only react. It's a lot less disappointing that way. It's kind of like with my grades... if I set my expectations low enough, I'm either right, or pleasantly surprised.
If nuke comes, great... if not... I'm used to not having it. Another week or ten won't bug me if it comes to that.Comment

We cover any news that may be relevant to CS players. Seeing as all of us have Steam installed, anything that affects Steam likewise directly affects this community.

That said, if you still don't care, we have these little things called user preferences, where you can disable news categories. Guess what one of those categories is?
I'm sorry, but there's no excuse for complaining about something being provided for you when you have the perfect freedom to disable it. If you're claiming that this info shouldn't be made available to our readers simply because you don't want to uncheck a box... wow. Just wow. I don't even know where to begin with something as spoiled and self-indulged as that, so let's hope that's not what you're claiming.Comment

Instead of fixing CS and CS:S bugs, they spend their time lauching updates for RagDollWhateverTheNameIs that's currently played by 2 people: the developer and his best friend.
Nice. We still have:
CS:
- cheaters all around;
- server list bugs;
- some wait bugs once the game is launched and you need to wait to connect to any server;
- map bugs like the flash bang bug on dust2;
- shields (ban them);
- autosnipers (ban them);
- mute ingame voice (player list bug) - this one is ridiculous
- friends (omg... simply stupid)
CS:S
- lots of cheaters;
- speedhacking vs dualcore;
- more maps please;
- performance optimization for the awp scope view;
- ban autosnipers...
So nice we have this RagDollWhatTheHell update...Comment

Yes, that's right, all of VALVe's employes took the entire day's time (if not more) together to get this patch from the developer of RDKF and push it to the Steam content servers.
Mappers made custom maps in honor of RDKF, texture artists drew concept art for RDKFCS:S, the programmers all checked every line of new code to make sure none of it contained leaked HL2 code, the PR department spent the whole day formulating three sentences about RDKF, Randy Pitchford talked to the mayor of Seattle about declaring November 29 as Kung Fu day, and Gabe Newell invented a new sandwich he calls "the ragdoll" and ate it while Cliffe spent the day excercising his index finger, readying it to press the "activate" button and send this out. Anyone I missed spent their entire day looking at bandwidth charts Steam content servers and taking notes about the effects of RDKF patches.
Clearly a Rag Doll Kung Fu patch is the root cause of any remaining bugs in CS, along with the reason CS hasn't been fundamentally changed to suit hugo-rj's beatific vision of it. After all, who but he could have the sage wisdom to present us with this enlightened statement?Instead of fixing CS and CS:S bugs, they spend their time lauching updates for RagDollWhateverTheNameIs that's currently played by 2 people: the developer and his best friend.
Thank you, hugo-rj, for showing us so clearly what's really going on at VALVe headquarters...Comment

yeah, cause the CS:S and CS teams are also in charge of updating a game by another studio, and of course, they did steam too, cause they are so 1337. Dude, read this then maybe you can bitch about how developers spend their time.
