Nuke, Militia, Models coming to CS:S

Mod HQ recently had a Q & A session with Valve's Erik Johnson. In the interview he discusses some of the new content for Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source which should keep all of their fans excited.
Q: The last Steam weekly news update stated once again that The Lost Coast will be released soon. Still, many would like to know more about the Counter-Strike: Source and Day of Defeat: Source content that was mentioned in the same announcement.

A: While we haven't done a significant release for Counter-Strike: Source in a little while, we've been continuously building content for it. There are two new maps on the horizon for Counter-Strike: Source, de_nuke, and cs_militia, which will bring the total number of maps we've released to 18. The team has also been busy working on getting the rest of the player models built, which we'll also be releasing soon. November should be a fun month for Counter-Strike: Source fans.

    [...]

Q: With Day of Defeat: Source we saw for the first time the much anticipated HDR and most people fell in love at first sight with it. We also know that all future Valve products will include this technology. Are there plans to add HDR in already released products such as Counter-Strike: Source and Half-Life 2 itself?

A: Counter-Strike: Source, definitely. We'll be rolling out HDR versions of the maps over time starting very soon. As for Half-Life 2, not in the short term, but possible at some point.
HDR, de_nuke, cs_militia and all the player models? Counter-Strike: Source just keeps getting better and better!

Certainly one amazing interview with Erik Johnson. Very excited to see HDR incorporated into CS: Source as well as Nuke and Militia.

In my opinion, they are a little late with these additions. I don't know, personally I feel they shouldn't of charged people for Source until it was a real game, not a 1 year paying beta.

Not like I care though I quit this god forsaken game almost a year ago and I only visit gaming sites when I have nothing to do! /endlifestory

I hope the source Militia borrows the subtle layout tweaks from the Condition Zero version, they were much welcomed imho.

BTW what an odd comment orion, it reads:

        CS is getting better!

        Valve sucks!

        I don't play CS!

CS is getting better, but it is a little too late is what I'm implying. How long has the flashbug been in existence for 1.6 and when did it ever get fixed?

I don't understand how people make that argument. No one forced you to buy the game...

There was/is big hopes for CS:S. Everyone wanted the upgrade. Most like me stayed up late just to get it. I/They are just pissed the way it is now. Maybe in time is will get fixed.

Yeah, I really want to see the sewer design of the CZ version of militia.

I wonder if the cameras will be in it.

                edit: Bah Erik Johnson

Yeah uber funness is coming to a computer near you from a platform of Steam :). Well good times to see that LC (Lost Coast) is coming soon, CS: S is getting more material put into it and that DOD: S is coming along nicely.

I can't wait to see some hardcore HRD maps, its going to be sweetness.

I love how Valve always makes a huge deal out of things like updating maps for HDR like it's a large amount of work. If Valve sat down tomorrow and did some minor tweaks and recompiles of the already released maps, they could have them done before lunch and be able to finish militia and nuke that afternoon. What they're doing isn't a huge amount of work. I'd really like to know how much ass-sitting they do there.

And don't say they spend a lot of time playtesting things. If they actually tested their stuff before they released it, maybe the hostages could walk across train tracks and you wouldn't be able to see through the wall of the hostage shack on compound--which, by the way, would be much better suited as a de_ map.
