My pre-load progress bar went from 0.00% to 80.0% in the blink of an eye. No complaints here

they wouldnt make much money then. and they need your money to pay their employees, and that keeps their employees working, and in return we get awesome games.
well said my good man, well said.

          before it is release
I'm going to go ahead and offer my services to VALVe, absolutely free of charge, as a copy editor. I rarely see one of these without some sort of grammatical or spelling error. :)

Ah well, I guess they make great games, not great sentences. :P Hmm, looks like it's fixed on the steampowered site now though.

Anyway, good news for us all... I think I'll wait until we're a bit past peak hours to start the pre-load, prolly just before bed. Yay for the foresight of purchasing the Silver package, heh. :)

As far as the upgrade goes... can't you pick this up for only $20 more? It's not like you have to purchase Silver on top of Bronze just to get DoD source...

Hmm....$20 USD. Ooooo I dont know, I hate buying stuff over the net, even if it's from VALVe. I just had a bad experience on eBay. I'm gonna wait to see the varieties in the game, despise the $10 discount for pre-orders.

Only 4 maps at release: Anzio, Avalanche, Donner and Flash. Good thing I got the silver package, no way in hell I'd pay $20+ for that. Yes, I know they'll eventually add more content but at the rate Valve releases stuff I'll already have moved on to Battlefield 3 by the time they release $20 worth of DoD content.

But like I said, I got the silver package so no complaints here.

God dammit - what happened to Switch/Maestro credit card support, or even PayPal support for UK/European users !!?!?! Apparently we all need high interest credit cards to gain any sort of recognition from Valve. This is like the 20th time I've brought up this matter, I wish they would do something about it ! >:-[

                        Agreed.

9I had to buy HL2 at the shops and i would rather had got it on steam instead of sitting there for hours for it to upload content.

Sorry but if you buy the game on disc why the heck do you need to download more content?!?!!?!?

                        BRAIN IS HURTING!!!11!!
