    Xfire 1.45 Released

Xfire, the popular program that connects you to the rest of your gaming buddies has hit the big 1.45 in its version number. One of the most important new features added in this release? Why, the ability to block users from contacting you of course! You can read up on all of the changes by browsing the change log, or looking below.
    • Added the one feature that everyone keeps telling us we need... blocking. You can block individual user names, and they will no longer be able to message you, send you friend invitations, or show up under friends-of-friends. You can NOT block friends (if someone is your friend, why would you want to block them?).

    • Added ability to set a text status and a game status at the same time.

    • Added estimated time remaining for file downloads.

    • Added server name colors for SWAT 4 (bold and underline too!), America's Army, UT2k3, and UT2k4 in the infoview.

    • Added custom filters for CS:S on the servers tab. It's still a bit slow; we're working on improving this more.
    [break="more changes"]
    • Increased the maximum number of sources you can use during file downloads.

    • Improved paste support into the Add Custom Game Server to Favorites dialog.

    • Xfire In-game marks group chat messages with a double arrow to distinguish them from instant messages.

    • Added sensitivity setting of voice activation for voice chat (go to Tools | Options | Voice to set it).

    • Added a search field on the top of the infoview for the files tab.

    • Improved error messages when initializing Xfire In-Game fails..

    • Fixed several uncommon crashes.

    • Added Xfire digital signature to Xfire.exe and all of our .dll files for additional security.

    • Added support to play sounds specified in skins in .zip files.

    • New games supported: Madden 2006, The Bard's Tale, Half-Life Source Blue Shift, Legion Arena, NTE, Grim Fandango, 1602 A.D., and Conquer Online.

Always nice to be able to block annoying people. :)

Is that a typo, or are they adding support for imaginary games?

I think blue shift is going to be valve's free addon to half-life that deomonstrates even further the capabilities of the HL2 engine. It has the old guy.

The old fisherman and expanded tech that you're speaking of is part of Lost Coast, which appears at the top of your Steam games list under the "coming soon" headline.

Mainly I was illustrating that either they're adding support for old-school vanilla Half-Life: Blue Shift and mucked up in putting "Source" in the title, or they're claiming to be adding support for something that isn't currently even slated to be released.
