    New Look

As you can tell, we have a new design. On August 17 we quietly celebrated our sixth birthday. We're a few weeks past due, but here's the big present!

This design was initially envisioned by Besim "DisturbedRoach" Huskic. Taking the graphics and putting them into a stylesheet was the work of Mike "Simplex" Goodspeed. I want to thank both, because without their hard work the new look wouldn't have been possible.

The new design's HTML uses modern web design principles. Separating design from content requires a mind-boggling amount of CSS tweaks and hacks. In some browsers, the site may have small errors. Please post in the comments if anything strikes you as odd. In terms of browsers, we recommend any of the most robust browsers, such as Firefox or Opera.

Please post any feedback in the comments!

Oh btw: any "flashing" images when you mouse over them are due to a Firefox bug which will be fixed in the upcoming 1.5 release.

In Internet Explorer, sometimes the page gets cut off until one attempts to scroll down. This bug will be fixed in Internet Explorer 7 and I could not find a working solution for IE6.

All you guys did was change the colors, made a new banner, and changed the font. Nice change, but it could have been better. Maybe a whole new layout or something

But on a more serious note, this new design rocks my socks.

                            But W3 disagrees.

I can't claim to be the official voice of CSN anymore but what we were aiming for was the same practical functionality but with a more modern look and a saleable code-base ready for the future. Obviously I'm amazingly biased but I think the beauty of csn has always been in its simplicity and easy access to content.
