    DoD: Source This Month

In the latest Steam Update News, Valve has said that while a definite date is still undecided, Day of Defeat: Source will be released in September. When the exact date is determined, Valve will surely let the community know. There will be a period of one week at minimum during which people will be able to pre-order and preload the game via Steam, giving them the ability to unlock and play at the moment it is activated. Half-Life 2: Silver and Gold package owners will automatically be able to play when the game is activated.

Also included in the news update are two player models from DoD: Source; Allies Rifleman and Axis Panzerschreck:

Surely this will only increase my fun in the game of Counter-Strike.

Models look good, given the limitations of the engine. I could do with a little more detail, but it's nothing the custom community can't do (if they have the chance.)

However, with a delectable selection of BF2 WWII mods and the upcoming Call of Duty 2, I can't see paying for what amounts to a modification. . .

DoD: Source is sounding (and looking) great! We can only hope that Lost Coast finds its release between now and the DoD: S release.

Indeed they did say that... But it's one of those "believe it when I'm playing it" sort of things. And believe me, I'm anxiously awaiting both. (I love HDR long time)

I saw somewhere it'll be between $10 and $20 via Steam. Nothing confirmed or official however.

Uber awesomeness. I can't wait to start owning my friend is DOD: S, because I use to own him in DoD until we both quit and now we're going to own each other in DoD: S.

Those models are looking good. I can't wait to see the full range of effects and everything that are going to be implented with the mod :).

Also can't wait for Lost Coast (drulls)

I'm sure the cost will be cheap and afford for people. I would guess $20.00 because thats pretty darn fair for a game thats a mod.
