Xbox Half-Life 2 Nearly Done?

Is the Xbox version of Half-Life 2 nearly complete? It sure seems as though it's nearly finished according to a CVG interview with Valve's Doug Lombardi.

Can you tell us where development on the Xbox version is at right now?



Doug Lombardi: Well, we're entering the final stages. The new lighting and graphic effects have been added throughout the process, and we're spending the majority of our time testing the new user interface, default control configurations, and optimising, optimising, optimising...

Though no set release date has been announced, Lombardi hopes for a completion on the game around September.

Cool for Xbox owners.. But I still think it would have been nicer if they made HL2 for Xbox 360.. Then they wouldn't had to make any compromises to get the game to run with acceptable framerates etc.. Now HL2 on Xbox is just an low resolution, alliasing hell, tuned down version of the PC version.. But still looks ok for an Xbox game I guess..
