Newegg's LANfest2K5

Newegg.com, one of the larger online retailers for computer hardware, is about to kickoff LANfest2K5 on July 30th. The LAN will run through July 31st and will feature tournaments for Counter-Strike: Source, Counter-Strike 1.6, and Day of Defeat. Each of these tournaments will be played on gaming rigs provided by Newegg. Winning teams of the CS tournaments will receive five new gaming computers as well as $300 per person.



There is also a BYOC area with enough space for 400 gamers. Those wishing to simply have some LAN fun in the BYOC area will need to pay a $20 admission fee. There will also be a case mod contest with the top three winners each receiving a Geforce 7800GTX and other assorted computer hardware. If only I lived in the Pasadena area.
