TF2 does not exist. they're probably going to have to start over on it's development whenever they're finally ready to finish it to keep up with technology, if they finish it at all.

the extra content SHOUD BE: cs_militia, additional source player models, and real support for clan vs. clan matches. maybe an official ladder. wait. that'd make too much sense. nvm.

you know, as dumb as valve was for going with EA, and i'm an id fanboy, i can't knock them because at least they didn't pull some stupid shit like that email at the end of Doom3. if you played thru D3, you probably know what i mean.

I think those shots look great. Considering DOD:S was originally going to be something along the lines of HL:S, this "total conversion" is awesome.

Why don't you just explain it for those of us who don't like the dark that much?

yea, doesn't look as good as it should if you ask me. but then again source is the only game engine who's sys. requirements double in online mode. what do you expect?
really? i didn't feel any perfomance drop when playing CSS online compared to playing HL2's singleplayer. you must be mistaking source engine with doom 3 engine.

it has been said by a Valve dev on the DoD official forums that the model skins are a work-in-progress, so enough about those already - lookin good DoD:S

Stop being such a massive hypocrite.
The CS models were not made by Valve. Those models were used WAY before CS went retail. I think Valve just improved them a bit and that was it.

No, no, no... that's the way people actually looked back then. But, gosh, there's FINALLY gonna be a World War II based FPS! Can't wait for the WC3 mod and Orcish Nazi Hordes. What a frickin' yawnfest.

...it'd be hard to find an era that hasn't had a shooter or hack and slash of some sort made for it. At this point, I'd say it's less about picking a "new" era, and more about how you pull it off.

That said, there are certainly more than enough WWII FPS games that are of high enough quality that the market is a bit flooded. Still, I don't mind getting a free WWII-based game with my purchase of HL2, so I'm not complaining... :)
