there are already admin mods which add fucking sprites (and even models!) to the map - garbage like naked chicks, 1337 cl4n l0g05, take your pick...
more so. some servers wont even let you connect to their server without downloading their cunting l33tclan.mdl.

I'm personally thankful when a server won't let me connect without downloading l33tclan.mdl because then I can avoid that server, knowing that the admins would be dicks anyway.

back in my early days of cs I would just download the .wavs because I didn't know any better, and from those days, I've kept the same sound follder, so this 300 meg folder of sounds basically has everything, so I don't have to worry about sounds, lolComment

For some people it's the frustration of having to download sounds, but for others, we just don't like hearing them in the first place. Having 300 megs of sounds certainly doesn't help if you hate all 300 megs worth, heh, where as this cvar does.Comment

sometimes you do see sprays even if cl_allowdownload is 0.
for sprays u need to use cl_download_ingame 0 :)Comment
