ESWC 2005 Underway

The Electronic Sports World Cup is currently underway in Paris, France. Starting yesterday, and running until the 10th the Counter-Strike tournament features $120,000 in prizes for the competing teams.



Featuring such notable teams as Team 3D, Complexity, SK, and NiP, the compeition is fierce. The first stage results are already up from yesterday's action. The second stage is still waiting to get underway.

Anyway Zips why bother with this stuff, just link to GotFrag and leave it to them. Just make a post saying go check out GotFrag for coverage information instead of trying to make posts to update scores and etc.

If by "big teams" you mean former CPL teams and such, then yes... this would be where the CS1.6 and prior players are competing, where as the CPL is trying to convert everyone to CS:S against their wills. :)

Change is hard Nighthawk. Source is changing to a new game entirely, not upgrading 1.6, Source is not yet ready for competitive play. For public play and goofing off, it is plenty fine, but it needs A LOT more to be used in a competitive cycle.
