The model animation change is cracking me up. When I saw the earlier pics and heard everyone complaining, I was thinking "I wonder if they switched to DOD-style bringing the gun up... nahhhhh." Curious to see how well it worked out.

Looking forward to playing cs_assault tonight after I take care of everything else that needs done, bah! Either way, from the screenshots it looks good. Nice to see Cliffe actually do a little work. Maybe it's not enough for me to forgive you yet, but it's a start in the right direction. Get running trains in there like HL2 had, though, and your path towards redemption just might make some good progress.

Although the updates are a good thing, I hate how they're patching the game so much when it isn't "beta", I mean, no game in the world ever had so many major bug fixes / additions after its official release. The game shouldn't have costed so much in the first place.
Tribes 2 would be an example of a game that probably had more changes and fixes after release than this, but it's coming close. That said, simply because other games don't fix some things doesn't mean there aren't plenty of issues in other games that could use a lot of improvements. The difference is that most of those games go straight to the budget bin, where as the continued support to VALVe games helps keep them pulling a high price long after release.

OMG!!! THANK YOU VALVe!!! You listen to my suggestion and add it to the update!!! THANK YOU VALVe!!!

    <3 VALVe!!!
It's nice to see someone grateful every once in a while. Kind of a pleasant change from... well, you know the types I'm thinking of.

The game didn't cost anything at all. You got it free with Half-Life 2.
I think we're stretching out the definition of game here. Without a single player component, and with all the parameters of the gameplay finished many many releases ago, CS is more like a polished piece of another game altogther (indeed, CS:S was the only multiplayer component to ship with HL2.)

In any case, I am still grateful for continuous updates, despite sometimes feeling they're a little sparse and/or less than competent.

Wonderful! Just wonderful! Time to try out assasult, looks very promising. As for the new grenade animation for spectators, thank God they fixed that. I was getting tired of them flinging their arms all over the place.
